Recipe Notes for Making the Best Keto Meat Pies:

  • Meat pies typically have a top crust but i opted to skip it to keep the calories down. If you prefer to have crust on the top, just double the dough recipe to make your tops. I added cabbage to my beef, which i found tasted just like grilled onion. It looks like it’s to much cabbage at first but it cooks down a surprising amount throughout cooking.
  • When making the fathead dough it feels like it’s going to be too wet at first but if you keep mixing it, it thickens. It’s important for it to be mix very well.
  • Melting the shredded mozzarella and the cream cheese in a microwave depends on how powerful you microwave is. My rule of thumb is to melt the cheese in increments of 30 seconds and stir. I did 2 30 seconds and an extra 15.
